The plan provides a road map for future growth within the city limits until the year 2030, delineating areas as to preferred use, from natural preserves and estate living to neighborhood living and the central business district. It looks like this plan will give more protection to areas (older neighborhoods) from redevelopment which shows that The City of Woodstock is trying to look into the future. Also the plan, which has been in development two and a half years with a lot of input form many people. Professional consultants Ross and Associates facilitated the development of the plan by the city planning staff, the county planning staff, Woodstock Citizens Roundtable and the Planning Commission, along with input from elected officials and other citizens.
